How it's Made (part 3)

 

Dennison then opens the end of a small jewelers saw
to release one end of the blade, inserts the saw blade
into one of the drilled holes and again fastens it in the
saw. Thus he is able to cut out each part of the design.




Now that the design is cut, it illustrates the detail
required to cut out the intricate bear paw design.


Dennison then cuts a second piece of silver, roughly the
same size and shape as the first (only this one does not
have a design cut out of it). Next, he solders the new piece
directly onto the back of the cut-out piece.





This new 'sandwich' is then carefully trimmed.
